My approach to therapy is relationship-based and eclectic. I believe that everyone deserves their own unique therapeutic approach and I like to develop a caring, mutual relationship with my clients.
I graduated from Grand Valley State University with my Master’s Degree in Social Work. I have extensive experience working with children and their families. Before working for CCWM I worked as a Home Based Therapist for children and families. Through this work I gained diverse experience in working with individuals with cognitive impairments, individuals diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and individuals who have experienced trauma.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Person Centered Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy, and Mindfulness. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, family issues, ASD, postpartum issues and women’s health. I also specialize in working with children and individuals who have experienced trauma and I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
If you have any questions about my experience or about what therapy might look like with me, please reach out! I look forward to hearing your story and helping you on your therapeutic journey.
