NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS
I grew up in Wyoming, MI and as a student, kindled a drive to help others not feel alone or trapped in the past. This lead me to pursue my Bachelors in Psychology and Human Development at Central Michigan University, giving me a unique insight into not only psychological development but also social and physical. I then worked in a local crisis home following graduation. Following this I attended Grand Valley State University for Master of Social Work Training. For the last 2.5 years I have been at a local psychiatric hospital, and the experience that I gained there is invaluable, allowing me the ability to work with most problems.
I have seen hundreds of clients during my time as a inpatient case manager, and feel strongly that with time, the right support and belief, anyone can work through their struggles and come out stronger. I believe in utilizing the skills of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and have great results from this model. As an inpatient clinician I came to realize the potential that each individual has. Since high school it has been my goal to help others see this potential, and be a source of guidance in turbulent time. I have experience with many psychological conditions including: PTSD, depression, dissociative identity disorder, anxiety, and anger.
If you are ready to work on not letting your past define your future and rather enter into a collaborative journey with me toward the person that you want to be, please reach out.
